I personally don’t remember this recipe, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth posting here. I am not familiar with a barbecue sauce recipe that includes coffee, but after living in Seattle for 27 odd years, I think anything with coffee as an ingredient is worth a try!
Barbecue Sauce
(Good for any type of meat)1 small bottle of catsup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup strong black coffee
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons liquid smokePut all ingredients into a quart jar and shake well. Will keep in refrigerator very well. Brush or baste meat, chicken or burgers several times while cooking.

I didn’t wear dresses often, so I don’t remember this one, but maybe she made it for somebody else in the family?
